About Mia
I'm a former football player, and football has been a big part of my life for many years. I played at Brøndby for 14 years and was actually their first contracted player. I helped win 7 league titles and 3 cup titles. I made my debut for the women's national team in 2002 and earned 76 senior caps.
In 2009 I was named Player of the Year by the Players' Association, where both teammates and opponents voted - which made the award particularly special. In 2010 I had my son, and in 2012 I returned to play for Brøndby and the national team. In 2013 we won bronze at the Euros in Sweden. That's one of the biggest experiences of my career, both professionally and personally, since I had my son with me. During the tournament I scored 3 goals against Italy, Finland and Norway.
Today I'm a mother of two: Vigga, 11, and Villads, 15.
